In Mr. Lamb's art class, students experience what it is like to be a disabled artist.
Content: Teaching students the challenges art with disabilities face.
Fourth grade artists meet the challenges of disabilities with perseverance.
Process: Students choose a disability the challenge their drawing abilities.
It will be colored with crayons or markers.
They will draw and color a still life drawing.
Students will work individually.
Product: Artwork will be of three “still life” objects, one next to the other on a table or shelf.
Some try with their eyes close putting their sense of touch to work.
Others draw with a different hand and with their feet.
Many comment, “This is hard!”. But all take a positive attitude and give the challenge their best enthusiastic effort.
